Yeah, porn games can be really lucrative since they have a lowbar for skill, low supply and high demand.

The problem is actually making and finishing the game. Is like writing a book, even if you know how to write writing something that long is a lot of work, less power and more stamina.

I've seen 1000 porn games start, promising, good art, nice mechanics, crazy ideas. The ones that end in to something? 2 or 3.

But if keep at it can be quite lucrative, I think the art of sexual awakening is garbage, but the guy makes more money on his patreon that people 10 times with his level of skill with a poorly written VN just because people can't find any better. The same goes to comics but the number of western comic artists have been growing a lot since 2016.

Actual comics is hard to say, maybe, but I also think not, it would only work with some heavy censorship on part of the website that goes really against the whole transgressive nature of the entire comic vibe western goes for. Can you imagine something like crossed or even something close to Scott Pilgrim working out with cancel culture and big corp censorship like in youtube working out? I don't.

Or you know; just pretend to make a furry sex game, post some animations on patreon, collect 10-20k a month for years and then say the game's getting cancelled.

Because the nips aren't stupid enough to pay for unfinished products, while in the West too many horny incels are willing to pay for the promise of "best porn games evah" or just game that caters to their niche fetish. And you don't even have to actually work on the game, just update once every few month to keep up the pretension gather new paypigs. The longer they stall their shitty products, the more they can cash in on their presentation of an idea and advertisements
