Is studying anatomy from pictures a bad way to learn it? Is it possible or not if you don't have access to life drawings?
I've heard that learning from photos will make your drawings look flat, but what about the line work itself and proportions?
And that life drawings help you translate 3d to 2d.

Is it a good endeavor to try learning from 2d photos?
I used to enjoy drawing on my tablet, but I degenerated into abstract art because of the lack of good foundation, so I stopped. But something kind of sparkled my interested in art again and I don't know what to do or how to approach this situation.

I used to enjoy drawing monsters and environments but I need anatomy for one of them and rendering for the other. What should I do? Should I simply give up and search for another hobby?

Thank you in advance.
