>>5692206Fundies are easy to learn, but hard to internalize.
Gesture is easy too learn but could take years to really master even if you're doing it every day
Anatomy is actually easy to learn but it is something you'll always come back to for reference, and if you don't have a good understanding of other fundies it could be impossible to actually draw well.
perspective is probably the easiest fundie to "master" but is hardest for people to really learn for whatever mental barriers. Perspective is very logical, so once you have all the rules known, it's very easy to internalize. The beauty of perspective is also every other fundie builds off of it in some way.
Perspective helps you understand form, forms help you draw gestures and anatomy better
Light has its own logic, but it is very much connected to perspective, once you understand light, then learning and using color is easier
Composition has its own rules and logic too, which is pretty easy to "understand". Anyone who's seen a movie has some sort of intuition already built up but it's harder to really implement. But even perspective can help with composition
This is a lot of pro perspective talk, and it is very worth learning, but it sadly won't give "life" to your drawings.
Also, an undertaught skill is observation. how will you ever be able to do any of this if you haven't trained your eye?
