Remember how my Intuos Pro wore out a nib in 2 hours?

I got one of those FX H9 glass surfaces, and now I've been drawing for 2 weeks straight (3+ hours every day) with the same nib and it looks as good as new!

That has to be slippery as fuck, any matte screen protector would work and additionally wouldn't handle like a cow on ice.

It's smooth as fuck. With my drawing glove on it almost feels like you're hovering. Really easy to draw curves lines.

You can even draw lines slow without friction stopping your hand and fucking up your drawing.

Recommended 10/10, plus it's hardness 9 so only diamonds can scratch the thing.

Really satisfied with it.

The wacom secret is the nibs, not the surface.

I used an Xp-Pen until i switched to mobile and each nib lasted me for weeks and could last for months but I preferred to change them at the first signs of wear.

Rough surface really helps to control the pen very accurately, I'm currently using an S7+ and while it has some magical rubbery tip material i wish there was more friction.

It doesn't. You want to minimize friction, and it's not the nib's friction that matters it's the friction against your hand. That's why artists wear those gloves.

This becomes more notable if you're trying to draw a curved line slowly. Your motion becomes jagged if you have friction.

You arent supposed to drag your hand along the surface at all. If it was trad you'd smear the pencil and foul the paper, in digital it's a problem too.

However the nib friction is great at minimising the minor shakes, slides and error. That's why the real pencil is so much easier in the first place, it isn't gliding on it's own.

Because you're suppose to steady your hand against the tablet. It's not a chalkboard.

It's easier to stop at a point with a pencil, but that's not particularly useful in Photoshop.

The engineering graphics and descriptive geometry courses at my uni, had to make an oil pump blueprint with all the cross sections on an A1 sheet, it was so much fun I loved it.

Dunno about you but my hands were shaking my entire life, people were asking whether I drink when i was 10.

If you're painting it probably actually doesn't matter, but if you're tring to make a fine thin line art digital suddenly gets rather difficult

It would, but paper is cheap.
If you got some actual sturdy drafting paper it would probably last a long time too.

Also paper adds the perfect amount of friction and makes drawing significantly easier without any wear on the nibs.
