So Alphonso Dunn has accused Jake Parker of plagiarizing his book.
Alphonso Dunn is a pen and ink artist and teacher (see photo). Jake Parker is an illustrator and teacher who claims to have started inktober.
You can see his accusation on his YouTube channel. I like him as an instructor and his books and channel are really great for beginners. But what’s gets me here is how blatant the copying is - the man copied the order of the book even. It’s like he used a thesaurus and redrew the examples. Yikes.
Thoughts on how prevalent plagiarism in art is?
