I know manga art is derided here for being formulaic copies etc etc. But is there good manga art? I really liked Vagabond.

Ryoko Kui, Dungeon Meshi mangaka. Beautifully clean stylized artwork, and she's just so good at making characters distinct. This goes for the writing side of the equation too. The chapters with the doppelgangers and the changeling mushrooms really exemplify just how good of a character artist she is.

That's pretty shitty.
The lineart is non existent, causing the whole scene lack depth.
One piece is like some PS1 / PS2 games.
It has great unique art style, but the graphics are pretty shit.

Kouya ni Kemono Doukokusu, the art in this is RAD. Really cool monster designs, incredible grasp of anatomy and kinetics, completely INSANE balls-to-the-wall action scenes and ultraviolence to the max. It's a popcorn action manga through and through and it's great.

Also, Makura/Tomoe Hanuman best girl. She's the monkey gal on the right.

how is it tarnished? a world designed with great effort is still great even if the story contains elements that only appeal to a small group of people. it's common for an artist to insert their own sexual preference into their art, you shouldn't dismiss the art just because you disagree with the preference
