Pedos are still sick fucks but finding an anime drawing made to be a more idealized version of a human attractive falls well within the intended functionality of our brains and whatever number the writer attached to it is of little relevance.
Attraction to Furry, which is animals with human characteristics (not shit like cat girls, which is just humans with some animal fluff) , signifies a massive departure from normal human psyche and makes finding animalistic features specifically distinct from humans attractive. It's bizzare to our very core, though not impossible to imagine given the human brain's incredible ability to abstract things into whatever it desires.
Both things are morally defunct but flurries are bizzare in the same way people who get off to floor tiles are. It's not within our intended attraction spectrum.
A false dichotomy to compare cartoon pedophilia and furrydom as both are attracting wildly different sexual perversions.
A cartoon pedo is weird based on the fact he enjoys something that in real life is a crime against a young human and morally defunct. Since the cartoon however is not real, the crime is not real either, and thus not a problem.
The same thing is with the Furry aside from the fact they are not attracted on grounds of the legality or abuse (even though it is the same), but rather on their twisted sexuality to animal like creatures who are not human, and their obnoxious tendency to flaunt it.
That's my take, anyways.
