>>4722404It was a horror comic about a town of people who could absorb the biomass and cells of other living things, thus extending their lives unnaturally, but the longer they lived, the more distorted and unnatural looking they became. So there were people who had been alive for centuries and looked more like walking shrubbery than a human being.
But it was set in a larger universe where humans had spread out into the stars and had biologically modified themselves to adapt to different planetary environments, and for other reasons, so that's why there are animal people and such. If the project had gone on longer, I would have introduced other post-human characters, some of which would have been practically aliens.
