>>4621717>>4621726>>4621755>>4621883I'll explain this once, so read carefully.
You can construct stuff all you want, but that's literally the whole "now draw the rest of the owl" meme.
Construction helps with perspective and proportion, but it doesn't magically allow you to draw anything like a lot of /beg/s seem to believe.
Learning how to construct is just the beginning of your journey, not the end.
You HAVE TO symbol draw when working from imagination, our brain is simply incapable of coming up with something completely new on the spot.
That's why most art schools tell you to study from other people's art instead of just from life.
Life drawing is important and it can get you very far, but unless you want to always be stuck looking for references, you have to use symbols.
Why do you think comic book artists, animators, illustrators, concept designers always choose for a very cartoony style? Most of them can draw realistic figures if they have a model in front of them, why don't they do it from imagination as well, but resort to symbol drawing instead? Because that's their only option.
You can try to not symbol draw all you want, but the biggest red pill anyone on this god forsaken board can give you is that symbol drawing isn't bad, the symbols you are using are bad.
