What is that quality in a style that makes it feel noble and mature, and distinguishes it in people's minds from cartoons and childish things? Why do some things seem tasteful and noble? Let's not get into discussions of East vs West or anything trivial like that. To me, this is beyond those boundaries. I think there is some dimension that is not simply realism, that makes a work dignified.
