As for posting to gain social media traction and a considerable audience, I'd say posting at least 3-4 artworks per week is a must. Doesn't need to be 10 hour artworks all the time. Sketches and wips are pretty cool content as well.

I guess it must be somewhat similar to the NSFW scenario (with fanart pandering being more popular and all that stuff), but you have to have more original content that goes beyond mere subject matter.

All this said I live in a 2nd world country with an average wage of abut $1200-1300 USD, so to me this is all overkill.
