Take pic related for example. It is that very fluffy stylization you talk about, in a lighthearted SoL comedy harem series. Utterly flagrant hedonistic indulgence. Now consider the context of the person who, when making a comic about this indulgent paradise, drew this scene of being held by a cute little girl with a big smile, being told they've done a good job. Is the point of this "cuteness turned up to 11", is it made by a "spoiled and naive person"? Or is it the author writing about unfulfilled desire for their efforts to be rewarded with acceptance and affection by a superior being? The same type of acceptance that serves as one of the core principles of Christianity, for example.
