Collection tips:
If you're looking to download manga, I suggest using nhentai. you can sort by favourites, it has a decent tagging system, and you can download a torrent with the files.
Exhentai is also worth a look. Look up sad panda extension to get past sad panda. Kinda a hassle that you can't sort by popularity, though.

Navirank is great for looking at top pixiv artists. Click on the picture, and then on the right column click their name to go to their pixiv account. When you follow them there, pixiv will suggest a bunch of artists, usually 3-4 are worth following. You can end up falling down a rabbit hole of artists. To find particular tags, you will have to translate it.

To download pixiv artists, I suggest using PixivUtil2. Link your account, and you can download art from everyone you follow and keep up to date. I think I've downloaded about 150gbs of art from pixiv with it.

To categorize and view your art, I suggest XnViewMP. You can tag art really well with it, helps keep track of what you like about certain artists so you can quickly find them when studying. I tag things like bondage, cuteness, colours, boob size, nice figures, interesting stylisation techniques, nice anatomy, etc.
