Reason I don't like showing off my work when I make posts like these is because it can be traced back to me, and I don't wanna come off like I'm someone who's made it yet or is overly arrogant. Yeah, I can sustain myself with my art, but my level isn't anywhere close to where I wanna be. I wanna get REALLY good, so when I say 8+ hours a day, it's just as much for you, as it is for me, as a reminder of what it takes. Because it in fact DOES take that much. In fact, imo 6-8 is not enough, which is what I'm pushing right now, I'm gonna start to kick it up to 12 daily for this next year, because I'm giving myself a year to cross over into the next level. I need to be at a very high level before I kickstart my next project. If the FZD students can grind out that many hours, so can I. No excuses.
And yeah, the people meming that it's not necessary are doing themselves a HUGE disservice. If you wanna make it, you gotta be willing to sacrifice anything to get there, social life, health, sleep, etc... because other people are, and this is a very competitive field. You can get all that back in due time, but me, I won't be satisfied with just sustaining myself. To me, that's not making it, I want fame and glory, and to get that, I gotta push really damn hard, and be very clever. Nothing matters to me anywhere near as much as my career, that's the level of dedication you need to be willing to have.
