Ultimatum happens, and Sue passes out trying to stop the wave. Reed goes Autismo and believes Namor is responsible, so he lets her in the care of Ben and leaves to find him. He teams up with Doom, Fury and others, kills Magneto and saves the world. So, yeah, he left her in the care of his best friend and went to save the world, which Sue used as an excuse to deny his proposal.

From everything I've seen on this board, F4 is basically drama on top of drama, Sue is a cheating bitch, Reed basically fucks everything up, and the only saving grace is Ben and Johnny.

The only good things to come out of Ultimate Universe were the original run of Ultimate Spider-Man (which was good because all the drama was backdropped as teenagers dealing with superhero bullshit in an edgelord universe) and - in my opinion - Ultimatum, because it showed just how fucking powerful some of the supers (and villains) are in the Marvel Universe when they don't fuck around or hold back.

Its not the same thing. Sue was dating Reed from the very start of the series and after years worth of issues Sue dumps him after he proposes because she wants to sleep around. Its a dick move that comes completely out if left field and makes Sue seem like a total bitch. Johnny never did something so heartless and petty to another character that he ostensibly cares about.

Also, Ultimate Johnny's behavior was always seen as immature and irresponsible. He was the dumb little brother of the group. Even when he shows up in Ultimate Spiderman he is frequently ridiculed for sleeping around with ditzy bimboes. He literally is called out for being a shallow manwhore. Sue is supposed to be above this kind of thing.

Ellis' run was pretty damn entertaining, Carey's first run was ok, Millar's run was variable with good moments and ideas in places, and Carey's second run started okay but eventually went to shit.

UFF Mk. 2 from Fialkov had so much potential and had a lot of good ideas ruined by shit art and rushed plot points/cancellation.

I like the first arc as an interesting revamp of the origin. Its nothing special, but its a fun take on the origin. Ellis' short run was actually pretty dope and I liked his take on the Ultimate Galactus trilogy.
