>>99908577>>99908562>I know fuck all Russian historyThe Russian people revolted for a number of reasons. The biggest reason they revolted was that they were fed up the current ruling Tsar, Nicholas II and his handling of the war. The russians were getting their asses handed to them by the Germans during WW1 and to offset the costs of the war, Russia increased printing of it's currency, however the average worker's wage didn't change. This meant loaves of Bread costed wheelbarrow's worth of money, but no worker was on a wage to afford it. This led to the first revolution which instilled a representative government, but the Tsar was still mostly in charge behind the scenes, which still upset a lot of people. So then the Germans took it upon themselves to act, seeing this as an opportunity to pull back their troops on the Eastern front and towards the West. They sponsored sending Vladimir Lenin, who had previously been exiled by the Tsar but was allowed to return under the new government, back to Russia. Here he spurred his ideals of Marxisms and sparked a second revolution, which killed the Royal family and set up a communist government, which quickly brokered peace with the Germans.
I probably skimmed over a few details but that's the general gist of it all.
