>>99808583>C'mon now, that's a flat out lieThe best episodes of Adventure Time has them changing up a lot of what they're doing, going off the rails, like trying to get out of knife rain and ending up fighting their way to an imagination machine, exploring a desert and finding a skeleton that tells them they can learn magic and end up stopping a comet. The draw of adventure time was never telling a coherent narrative, but instead just having a fun ride wherever the show took you.
>I would say Finn and Jake are more genericYou'd be wrong
>Claire is a witch and edgar has charm in his retardness>Mildly mature sister and her naive brother Wow, have never seen that before
>>99808601The tone is very similar, and the comparisons between the potions and monsters, Claire and Vendetta, vaguely Hamster and Edgar, there is definitely a difference in style of humor, but that difference ends up being very unwelcome.
Making Fiends did a great job of subverting expectations or and had great comedic timing and dialogue, The Summoning fails in both those aspects, because it's only really attempt to surprise the viewer was by swapping by swapping chocolate for poop and dirt for dandruff, and it didn't go far enough in it's depiction of either for it to really work as a gross out joke, especially the poop, which even after the reveal, still looks believably like chocolate, something like Billy and Mandy or Ren and Stimpy did well, hell even Spongebob did that a lot better. Even the characters reactions were so muted and boring that it was impossible to have any reaction myself. Everything about it is just poor.
