>>99771244>>99771352I really would love to revisit the concept of The Wonderland Gang and actually make it work but with the old Mad Hatter, the classic Bill Finger villain that was retconned just so we could have a pedophile dwarf that no one likes in his place, and make them an ongoing part of Gotham as a setting.
A villain team whose primary function is to make a living enabling people's fantasies and helping whoever pays to make their dreams of villainy come true.
The Mad Hatter is the main figurehead. He is a craftsman responsible for building/fixing/selling a lot of superweapons the villains use and thus uses these as blueprints/inspiration to make his own haberdashing contraptions and mind control devices. Like Gotham's version of the Tinkerer
The Carpenter oversees operations and offers deathtrap building services (and maybe even discounts if she's feeling kind). She joined because the gang offers much greater publicity, security and profits and she was going broke after trying to go legit.
Tweedledee and Tweedledum are act as brains and brawn of the group, leading the henchmen and managing most of the details of the organization The Mad Hatter is too busy obsessing over hats to care about. The Tweeds could never quite make it as big figures in Gotham's underworld, and hate the Mad Hatter for taking the lion's share of the Wonderland gimmick, but they get good paychecks and publicity when working for him and put up with it for as long as it benefits them.
And White Rabbit acts as the group's courier and additional distraction. She just kind of invited herself in and no one really complained (I really can't think of anything else for her and if anyone has a better idea feel free to chime in)
