>>99720821You're not the only one, I frankly don't understand why we're in the minority.
I found it weird that Greg Weisman(creator of Gargoyles) was the retard who came up with those "to be continued" and "according to plan" garbage cliches.
I prefer S1 like I prefer S1 from Star Vs Forces of Evil.
It feels more wholesome and natural for a bunch of heroes to go against a tyrant villain with a giant army and to keep making up villains of the week.
I find it much more entertaining to have 5 intelligent heroes against an army vs a boss rather than pitying up 5 heroes vs their 5 evil clone counterpaths, like ATOM and many other cartoon shows did. Stalemates are annoying, so is the douchebag tactics, the extra drama and extra bullshit and power imbalances between the 2 teams gets tiresome extremely fast and doesn't leave much space for creative plots.
I found season 2 of American Dragon much better written than season 1. But that's because it didn't pity up 5 vs 5. And it indeed handled feelings far far better than season 1's and the dynamic was better From "The girl you lust over is secretly the evil henchman" to "Your girlfriend is a spy for the evil boss". It's more enticing to watch and less annoying. No more teasing and no more "You blind idiot" moments.
