We all know this is going to happen, the only question is whether they make it official in the S3 finale or if the keep dishonestly stringing it out with contrived roadblocks into S4.

Yeah, don't get your hopes up for it happening in this finale. Only because even if Moon doesn't die, the stuff with Meteora attacking, whatever Eclipsa's deal is, and Star looking for her mother in the Realm of Magic are going to take priority (hell, even the episode summaries imply Star and Marco will be separated for most of it; the Marco's warriors stuff is happening while Star's already gone).

I think it will happen early-ish in S4. Not like in the first episode, but early enough. The kiss itself and confirmation of their feelings has made it obvious it's not going to happen in like the last minute of the last episode, but they still have to deal with loose ends like ending Tomstar.

Best-case is if the show gets a 5th season but Disney doesn't tell the crew they're getting it until after S4 is completed (or at least the last stretch of the season is in post-production). That way if they're waiting until the finale for Starco to become official, they'll get surprised with a full season afterward and no advance notice in order to slam on the breaks like they did in S3.

Star goes back in time to stop the king from abandoning Meteora. The world is peaceful and there is a gate in every dimension so people can freely go in-between. Monsters are treated as equals. Tom is engaged to the current and rightful princess and NEVER meant Star before. Star is born a peasant girl and keeps her memories. Their is an exchange program for students to go another dimension for school. Star returns to Echo Creek and meets Marco again. she says "Thanks for showing me around again, Safe-kid."

Also why I think it will happen earlier than the series finale: it's been made way too explicit on both sides; couples not hooking up until the last episode feels like more of a thing where there wasn't much buildup and so they throw them together at the last minute because "welp, show's over."

It might happen LATE in S4, like to make the final challenge or whatever more dramatic because their relationship only just began, but it won't be the very last episode.

Yeah, seriously; this storyboard-panel look just doesn't work for something meant to hype up a season finale.

TBoB/TEtM are the last episodes that have a decent poster but the same time they share one poster and it doesn't have any of "The Bogbeast of Boggabah" features
Butterfly Trap poster is just Sabrina's drawing of Moon holding scales, the same style that Divide/Conquer poster has
LWAT poster is storyboard-like drawn Avarius family heads photoshopped on some Thanksgiving photo
and i don't remember posters for any other episode.

So sabrina mentioned that she and amelia boarded "part 4": this probably means part 2 of Conquer. I guess that means that Divide is split between Gina/Sarah and Casey/Charlotte (and directed by Tyler and Brett) while the first half of Conquer is Zach/Cassie (and Conquer as a while is directed by Aaron, Dominic, and Sabrina)

Sorry but not sorry Star has more chemistry with Tom. I understand that some people think Starco is a thing but I’m going to pop this bubble. The problem with that relationship it’s toxic and cliche. Look how uncomfortable they look I think their going friend zone each other. We all know that Marco can be controlling at times to the point Star has to stop him sometimes. Star herself can be obsessed with him when he was dating Jackie.

Okay what I’m telling is nothing new right but I believe star going to learn about Tom parents next season when Tom learns the truth about the kiss. If you don’t know they are going to give him wings but when will we see them idk. Tom parents are mystery especially when it comes to their history with the butterfly family. How long did lucitor family know them? How is it possible Tom dad is able to marry his monster wife?Hopefully we get to learned about them. I doubt the worst would happen to Tom is he turn evil like Meteora. I extremely doubtful that would happen because his parents would have the whole kingdom looking for him. This where I believe Star is likely to find Tom. Perhaps we get to learn everything between them.

there are a million ways to drag out Starco from happening. the ONLY possible way it happens in the finale of S3 is if it happened off-screen between Booth buddies and the finale and the episodes start off with Starco canon

Ludo is legitimately the best character right now, which is why he's barely in the show because he'd overshadow everyone else. I love Star but she hasn't been used as much or as well as she could have been this season.

I guranfuckingtee you that one of the dates is the anniversary of Star meeting Marco on Earth. The entire episode is Marco trying to make the best date ever but magic and other shit get in the way. i know a some people here think this season is trash, but personally i've loved seeing Heinous shift into the primary antagonist role as opposed to previous seasons.

In addition, the reveal of her being Eclipsa's daughter was one of my favorite moments in the show thus far. But it is what it is.

Tom was great when he made the appearance of actually trying to improve himself. Like during his banter in Naysaya as well as his efforts in Friendenemies. The fact that he's regressed or just flat out given up that effort because "Lol, I got the girl, this shit doesn't matter anymore" alongside the pickup lines he used on Star ("you're trying to get a better princess and that's admirable") doesn't hold weight when he shows that he couldn't care less in both Monster Bash and Is Another Mystery. I think Tom's praise of Star was genuine, at that point he was still so committed to his self-improvement that he got a Demoncism over her objections.
He turned into a loser because even if he wouldn't admit/realize it, he still viewed Star's affection as the ultimate validation of his efforts. When he got her, he felt like he had changed enough. Then he started to feel insecure about their relationship, out of jealousy for what she has with Marco and/or simply not feeling that he's good enough for her, and now he's trying to be someone he's not, whether that's "Nice Guy (TM)" or "better than Marco" or "a monster."

As a Starcofag i understand that thing needs to happen, Starco can't happen straight away because they have flaws as characters, and it even make it feel realistic, especially in booth buddies outside of the manipulation of the manlet, however i kinda feel bad for the character that are involved in the drama, Tom stopped improving himself since he was with Star, Kelly small screentime was more reduced just to be scenes with Marco, and of course Jackie straight written out once her character once she fulfilled her purpose.

I hope s4 they would stop making those characters just for plot devices and use them properly.

It's because Tom is barely fleshed out as a character. Star is actually developed and cares about the opinions of Marco, Moon, River, and to much a lesser extent all of her friends and subjects. Tom only cares about Star's validation on being a good person because he is a plot device and his entire existence as a character revolves around Star.
Tom is less developed than Ponyhead. We dont know what Tom's parents think of him, we dont know what other demons think of him, he has no friends if you dont count Marco. Because of this something as innocuous as Tom saying he's inspired by Star to be a better leader seems dishonest and manipulative to anyone with a shred of cynicism

Like >>99707456 said, too much has been offscreen'd. Seems like it really would've helped if Battle For Mewni was ACTUALLY considered a movie rather than episodes of S3. Those 88 minutes would've been useful to give actual screentime to all the things that we were only told about happening this season.

But then even with more minutes onscreen to work with there'd still be other issues. For example in Booth Buddies they finally address how Star and Marco's friendship hasn't been quite right this season, on account of Star's confession having changed things and then Marco having realized he loves her. Except that there were still some episodes in where that awkwardness was completely absent and their interactions felt just like in S1-2, such as Deep Dive, Monster Bash and Marco Jr, the last of those being immediately before Booth Buddies.

I wish the jealousy was actually explored and maybe had more lasting negative effects on Stars magic than what was shown.

It feels to me as if they introduced the love triangle jealously plot, more or less avoided it being relevant and then just rushed to a conclusion of it with Star and her confession at the end of S2

its already dragged out too long. What I meant though was the plot for the jealousy just showed up and vanished and was never really relevant. Just Friends with Star blowing up the sign and being very upset I would have thought that that would have future consequences to her character but it is as if the episode never happened and that pain was not there in the next episodes
