Fun fact: Dr. Katz was produced in at a 320x200 resolution because it was easier/cheaper to animate that way in Squigglevision. We then had to stretch it vertically to make it fit the 4:3 standards for Comedy Central's broadcast onto your TV screens.

Home Movies was supposed to be 640x480, but we accidentally screwed that up a bit, especially in the Cartoon Network-commissioned episodes. Sometimes there would be black bars on both sides of the screen, the picture would end up being wider than the screen itself, or we would have accidentally included the rounded edge of one of the background templates. It was very much trial and error.
