Kat's a little harder to pin since while she was boy mad and had a boyfriend early in the comic, she seemed to stop for a long while after seeing those tapes of Jeanne. Some actual lesbians in the fandom have said they were just like Kat and switched gears when puberty happened.
Personally, I see Kat as the definition of pansexual. Past the worries of seeming weird to other people, she doesn't mind what gender her partner is. She just loves them as a person.
