>>99489827>What happened to this Youtuber? Was she an animator? It looks like she was an animator.
There's your answer. Youtube fucking killed her and there's no point in her even making an attempt, because they slammed the door on the faces of every high-production idea anyone could have.
Do you know how the Youtube algorithm works? It looks at the video, checks its watch time and audience retention, then recommends video based on whoever has the greatest quantity of those two stats.
Now what's the difference between Citizen Kane and a 2 hour vlog, assuming that you'll let both shows run all the way through. Let's assume you're not even watching the vlog, you're just letting it run in the background while you look at porn.
To the Youtube algorithm, there is no fucking difference. You watched two hours of video, therefore the vlog is equal to Citizen Kane. HOWEVER, the vlogger posts a 2 hour rant EVERY DAY, and THEREFORE, the dumb robot thinks the vlogger is posting Citizen Kane EVERY DAY!
Citizen Kane, meanwhile, took two years to fully develop. Even worse than this, Youtube bases all success on how you perform in the first week, and Citizen Kane was actually a flop initially. It actually had kind of a slow rise.
Or other words, Youtube is a place bereft of effort, culture, quality, and integrity. No part of the website incentivizes any of that, and anyone who tries to break into the scene with something like animation is just going to get slaughtered by petulant retards making daily vlogs.
