It isnt strength that is the problem because they have a decent military, it is politics. In most versions of the origin Jor-el is talking on deaf eara trying to save the world and at first you think it is just a council being dumb like in all fiction but go back even beyond that and you see Krypton having a history of stupidity for political or outright petty reasons.

Chances of them skipping down the road in unison while conquering worlds was always an unlikely outcome.

My expectations for this were pretty low but I actually liked this alot more than I thought I would. Good effects and world building, it definitely has promise, acting was kinda meh but that's par for the course with most cape shows. Solid 8/10 for me. I think the twist will be that Brainiac is under the mask and its not "he is coming" he is already there. worse ideas would be its zod from the future or Quex-Ul(?) is insane and is just imagining the voice while having a puppet for it in public.
