I was here back when people looked up to /co/ as the nicest board. People loved us. “/co/ is love” was our literal fucking motto.
We helped people. When that show came. When the autistics found their home in that show, we were doomed.
They shitposted. Constantly. The mods had to step in, make stickies, and when their containment board was built, they resisted even that. They literally wanted to force it on other boards.
They used our own motto against us to support their cancer, the idea that the kids show was espousing what we believed in. They poisoned us.
And we never were the same since. They ruined /co/. Permanently.
The only possible fucking solution would be mods doing their job. So, it’s impossible.
I was there. I saw the hate creep in. I saw the first true, unironic shitposts spread like a cancer. And I hate them for it.
