>>98609502Back at the tower, 21 and Pete white are locked up together while the Monarch (who has become the second most popular contestant on the show) is kept outside for the final competition. The two of them have a heartfelt conversation, about how they keep getting shunted off to the side and having to deal with the shenanigans of their partner. They end up sharing a heartfelt kiss.
Myra sets up an elaborate display for the final leg of the competition, wherein she and the Monarch will battle to the death in a death match similar to the thunder dome over a pit of death (the swimming pool, with the water replaced by scalding acid to permanently disfigure whoever falls into it) for the undying love of Dr Venture. Doc has been tied to a chair, and though he initially complains about the situation he is thrilled to hear about the record numbers that the spectacle is drawing in. Walls of weapons emerge from the sides. Myra chooses a nunchuck while the monarch goes for a katar and salvaged monarch minion wings. Myra and the Monarch are evenly matched, as the former has strength but the latter has agility and guile.
Dean’s team storm the tower. Rocco is impressed by how well Dean and Hank know the tower, but before he can put two and two together he gets ambushed by Myra’s goons. He fends them off, while Dean and Hank head off to find Sirena. Hank asks when Dean will go back to being Dean, but Dean isn’t so sure he wants to return to being a venture; He’s got friends, respect, and hopes for his future. Hank argues that Dean is a Venture brother whether he likes it or not, and that they have to stick together through the thick and thin. He’s afraid of the person Dean is becoming, and wants his brother back. They are interrupted as more of Myra’s goons find them. They split ways, with Hank going for Sirena and Dean rescuing his father.
