Nothing is good in extremes, not even altruism and good will. Moderation is salvation.
Not even a centristfag, I'm just saying that people who think extreme altruism is inherently good and not detrimental (and destructive) to a society are just people who don't understand that the world is not black & white (and also fucking blind, considering what is happening nowadays in Europe, and the whole situation with Africa).
I remember a philosopher who argued the sad paradox of humanity was that, as beings that create society in the search of safety, we tend to be altruist by nature, however that was a negative evolutionary trait as egoism has more possibilities in nature to ensure survival.
