>>98286835Sally, St.John and Tangle have been slapped on the front of comic covers, either opposing/rivaling or wooing over Sonic to show they're "important" characters, implying that they will have roles rivaling Sonic. Her body language and facial expression ooze confidence and leadership, like St.John and Sally did in their appearances.
From my first impression from this image alone, I am led to believe Tangle will be paraded around as a very important character, presented as something new and fresh, when in fact she isn't. Tangle, from my first impression based on these first few images alone, is a replacement for Sally Acorn and St.John in one fell swoop, a rival and potential love interest for Sonic. I see a problem with this, because this character is bland and forgettable and will not be a strong pillar for this new series of comics and will not serve as a good replacement for the previously mentioned characters and I can see this leading to other problems, like a lack of a diverse cast of new characters. The whole point of this, was to make Sonic's new comic line appear new and fresh and Tangle is not a good start in achieving that goal.
'The Last Airbender: The Legend of Korra' tried the same thing and failed to recapture the allure of it's predecessor, same with 'Teen Titans Go', 'The Powerpuff Girls', 'MLP', 'Marvel', every new reboot you can think of. I'm deeply concerned that Sonic will go down the same road. Rehashed, boring, fap-bait fan fictions replacing the masterpieces that came before them.
I want a new Sonic story, something unique to rival the Freedom Fighter arc, that Penders had no hand in helping create and I fear, that'll be impossible with these new comic writers/artists.
That's why I am not fond of Tangle the Lemur, she's a sign of things to come and you all should be very worried.
