More recently in another interview, hes stated that they've completely scrapped that idea. The show has grown beyond them, their characters are too realized now. They'd rather just keep exploring these characters as they grow and just see what they become as time goes on, rather than force themselves to end it before they're too comfortable.
And considering the show is so consistently god damn good, and they make so, so few of it, I think they can actually do it. They can actually make the show continue to grow in greatness.
While on one hand I hate how long they take to make the seasons and how few episodes we get, but thats whats stopped it from becoming another Family guy or South Park or Simpsons, or Futurama to a lesser sort of degree. They take so much time to plan this all out instead of just shitting it out. They release just enough to keep the quality good.
