>>98210672There were instances where Zod or one of his subordinates and/or Superman threw one of their opponents into a building or otherwise cause damage (particularly and clearly, for example, in Smallville). In fact, there are several instances where Zod and Superman, while in their mid-air fight over Metropolis, crashed into towers, so they bought literally are responsible for 'blow[ing up' more than 'a single building' in MoS.
Now, YOU could have argued it wasn't, as far as the fighter's then mind-set could be discerned by the audience, what they were actually aiming for, AND that it was an unintended by-product of their fight - but you didn't.
In point of fact, that kind of disaster porn isn't necessarily a mark of Snyder, but a mark of modern action cinema, where the audience is expected to have a certain amount of video game type action, just without any visible blood, dismembered bodies, etc., for the tentpole films after a PG/PG-13 rating. And, so yes, in point of fact, while Snyder himself, since we don't necessarily know his actual personal intentions baring a quote, but you can simply look at 300 as an idea of what Snyder would think are visually interesting or impactful (or to use your words: cool) action scenes and what most people complain about is in the same vein.
The major point, which many of your Snyder apologists refuse to acknowledge or address, is how DC has shown their heroes, including and very specifically Superman, treating similar scenes in canon, which wouldn't allow for that much destruction in various ways (e.g. the moving the action away from populated areas/civilians, etc. argument).
