>>97766613Also note how Karkat forged an alliance with Jack, who would otherwise have little reason to trust a bunch of teenagers. Players have an intuitive understanding of their aspect, as well - Blood is relationships, relationships are based on trust, and Karkat was able to intuitively sense that Jack was someone who could be trusted (in that situation, at least).
>>97766625That's not how aspects work. Aspects are the noun, classes are the verb.
Like Dirk's Prince of Heart: Prince means "destroyer", Heart means souls/consciousness/memory engrams/whatever. Hence, Dirk was the "Destroyer of Souls". The aspect merely provides the domain that the class acts upon, without itself specifying what game role the player will take.
That doesn't necessarily mean that Doom can't translate to "self-sacrifice" or just sacrifice in general, just that not all Doom players will necessarily be objective-focused.
