>>97577601>He's passive as fuck,I think he's been better recently as opposed to some parts of season 6. He isn't nearly as enthusiastic as old Finn (no one can be, old Finn was a dynamo), but I think he still has life in him most of the time.
>doesn't get to beat down on people like he used to,This is completely valid, the show doesn't give a crap about making him seem cool when he takes people on. When season 1 Finn seemed so much more epic and badass than current Finn you know there's flaws in the writing. The last awesome thing I think Finn did was take down the Guardian in Islands; that kind flawless takedown is something that should be the norm for him and Jake after all the experience they have.
>no cool robot arm shit, The fact that he got any stuff at all is more than I was expecting. Doing the shadow strike in Elements, PB's mods, and him being all cocky with it in Seventeen are enough for me, mostly because I was expecting it to be treated just like his regular arm only it looks grey now. I get you though.
>voice work seems blander,I get this too, current Finn can have a problem where even if the character is excited the voice doesn't really match it. I kind of have a hard time imagining how he sounds in my head now, which is never a problem I had with Finn S1-4.
I respect you for having actual complaints regarding his characterization and not leaving it at "he's a cuck bitch" like a good amount of anons do.
I think it's a testament to how good Finn is (or at least was) that with all that he's merely average and not terrible. I still love him a lot, but it's easily possible I'm just blinded and haven't taken assessment of how badly they've screwed up his character. Still one of my favorite /co/ boys though.
