>>97466374>Not always a good thing.Anon literally said 4chan dislikes what people like. You just proved it. So what can't people have the same pizza over and over again too? Don't you enjoy things?
>It kills any potential for risk-takingThe MCU is internally tone-consistent and didn't have any sort of status quo so far. Experimenting too much would ruin this.
> movie like Logan had to get a serious talk to the studio that there was zero chance of merchandising and toys to be made for kids because it was a rated R movie.Logan is as much of a cash grab as every Marvel flick. Don't you think the execs knew their X-men brand was shit? That everyone thought it was ruined with each new failed movie? Logan was a risk shot at sudden death mode. They had nothing to lose after 5 movies of MEH public reaction and countless fans asking for Wolverine killing people. In the end we still didn't get the Wolverine we wanted, just a good movie that gives an end to a franchise. There is zero need of a movie like Logan at the MCU right now and probably never will.
>The New Mutants looks to be promising in pushing the boundaries of what tones superhero movies can explore. No it doesn't. It looks bland and cringey like every X-men movie. The X-men need a reboot.
>Everyone says the Disney movies are good, but that's as far as they can ever go because they play it safe.>good is as far as they can go????
>In the end, their experimentation leads to injecting more life and variety into the Marvel franchise than DisneyBut so far Disney managed to maintain a standard of quality that goes above EVERY experimentation. For each good Fox and Sony film there are 3 or 4 Disney ones that excel it.
>Granted there will always be contrarians no matter what. You're the one now. You just don't realize how awesome what Disney is doing now. IT's thanks to the MCU and it's unpretentious fun we can live in a time with Avengers movies and people enjoying a Thor + Hulk space movie.
