>>97441907>>97441921Context is that Reed tries to propose to Sue, but Ultimatum happens. She strains herself and passes out, but not before seeing Reed take off and try to find Namor. She's then taken care of by Ben whom she falls in love with in later appearances.
Reed meanwhile finds Namor, takes him to Doom who reveals that he was behind Magneto's attack but hadn't foreseen this, and they alongside the X-Men and the Ultimates, plus Fury, go and kill Mags. Reed returns, but Sue's hurt that he left her, declines his proposal, Ben is angry because Reed made him murder Doom (in reality Sue's Mom LARPing) and so everybody abandons Reed and he returns back hom with his abusive dad.
Sue wasn't blameless for completely abandoning Reed, but he has some blame in that he left her unconscious, at the hands of Ben, to go after Namor because of his insecurities. And to point this out, Ult!Sue NEVER had a fling with Namor. It was him being a rapist, and her punching him a lot.
Read the old stuff and all Sue does is lust after Reed and tell him how great he is and all that. But he's still an autist (not like 616) so he kinda brushes that off until Ultimatum, where shit hits the fan. After that Sue started hating him, which coupled with being back to square 1 made Reed snap.
