>>97322015Honestly, it'd be better if we just made more threads about collaborating and openly put out shit we were working on, so we could just say "need animator, need writer, need storyboarder, need producer, need voice actor" or whatever while linking shareable folders with whatever needs to be done and leave spoilers to your own disclosure, discuss payments or lack thereof in favor of getting experience openly or privately, and on that note make threads that share actual fucking advice. Animator's survival kit videos, digital animation tip videos, fucking FILM MAKING AND WRITING VIDEOS, because fuck knows those are under valued. Does anyone even take aspect ratios into consideration when animating?
You know what'd be a great way to motivate newcomers? just say the bare minimum to post is two keyframes. That's it. Two. Then make sure everyone posts their good shit. People will be so ashamed of posting JUST two frames they'll be motivated into making more, and that first step will let them know "Oh, this isnt impossible, this is something human beings can do"
And look, I know people are gonna want a discord general for everyone, but trust me, don't do that. It'll put socialization above organizing to make a project. Leave that shit for public threads, and make PRIVATE PROJECT BASED DISCORDS. I'm telling you from experience, you'll get a lot more shit done if you establish you aren't there to fuck around and try to establish yourself in a group, you're there to get work done, and if you do a good job, you have something you can use to back you up when you wanna do more work like this.
I'd really like if we can get animation project threads on /co/ going on the right foot
