Is there any info on what Matt and Trey think of South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut now? I know that they are very ashamed of the first three seasons of South Park, and this movie came out around that time. Are they ashamed of the movie too?

I remember in the Game of Thrones 3-parter episode commentary they mention Bill Gates being killed off already in the movie. They probably like it, it's possibly one of the best things they've done.

i liked the first three seasons with the movie the most. they were like a raunchy outrageous kids show rather than the typical adult animation it became.

still love it now, but the early seasons were wilder.

I kind of miss early South Park for that reason. I sort of liked when it was a really wacky, somewhat supernatural show where every episode was about weird shit happening in the town. Later on it became relatively grounded and more about satire and social commentary rather than about being kids in a messed-up town.

Source? They did season 3 commentary while making season 10 and said they liked it, although they think seasons 6-7 were when it got really good.

Season 2 is the only one they hate to my knowledge.

When Sadam was designed that character type wasn't exclusively Canadian, it was just something for celebrity-faces and the baby character Ike. When the show moved forward they decided to make Canadians have that trait too, but it was too late to un-do it on everyone else so they retconned shit so that Ike was Canadian and the celebrities were a special case.

Yeah, Season 2 is the only season they've consistently said they hated. There have been some interviews where they bring up season 1 as being disliked aswell, but I only remember one or two where they included 3.

I had never watched the show when a friend took me to see the movie
I enjoyed it, was able to follow everything, and the music was stuck in my head for weeks

I'd say that's a good movie based on a show: when you don't have to know anything to get all of it because it isn't 75% in-jokes and self references like the Simpsons one

Apparently Saddam Hussein was screened the film while imprisoned by the US government.

I'm not sure about Matt and Trey's thoughts but the movie was like the best aspects of the first few seasons and also a preview of their future brands of humor (raunchy perverted fart jokes with the kids still in the mostly innocent stage of characterization, but also the commentary on media, parenting, and international relations)

you could watch the film as a starting point and then skip right to season 4 or 5

That happens much more commonly nowadays because of shit like twitter, which is one of the reasons I'm glad Matt and Trey don't use it.
I don't think they hate ginger people, they just think ginger kids look weird so you're probably alright

As far as I'm aware, Matt and Trey don't hate the entirety of season 3. I'd even argue it was a transitional period for them, as a few episodes would fit right at home with seasons 1&2, while a few others could easily be grouped with seasons 4&5.
