>>96891960If I had to comment about this kind of situation: he set himself up for this kind of situation, I don't think he 'deserved' to be bullied off the internet, but he really did, truly, make an absolutely stupid comic strip that did deserve the amount of parody it received.
On a more personal level though, if Owlturd even remotely actually believes the things he puts into his comic, then it is probably best he step away from the internet for a bit and reevaluate his beliefs, feelings, and values just a bit. It isn't that they're offensive, they're just not healthy- it isn't explicit, it's a very subtle unhealthy'ness is all, enough to worry 'me' at least.
I don't want Owlturd to be gone forever, I like his comics, WE like his comics, there's a reason they're popular: they're garfield tier iconic and memetic. It would be a shame to see him gone forever.
Being an artist is just the perfect springboard platform for insanity and being a WEB COMIC artist just dramatically decelerates the potential for insanity, we've seen it happen DOZENS of times (sinfest is the big one I can think of). I hope Owlturd gets better is what I'm trying to get at, I think a break would do him well and I hope to see him again.
