>>96847079I never responded because I didn't see the point. Nothing you replied with would have warranted anything other than repeating what I'd already said. I simply disagree with your entire interpretation on such a level that I see no point in going back and forth forever. But this is a new thread so I'll go over it again if that's what you want.
Wendy's defining character traits share more similarity with Kyle than they do with Stan, right down to their relationship with Stan. She's smart, she's vocal, she's got a temper. That's Kyle in a nutshell. Looking back on earlier seasons the role she played when she was the focus of episodes was essentially the same role Kyle often plays later on. A great example of this is Weight Gain 4000. Or in a later season, The List.
I'll take personality over shallow bullshit like placement in a crowd shot (with how much they recycle scenes) or this notion of the girl leader (which she often isn't). Stan is the average everyman kid of the boys, the same cannot typically be said of Wendy among the girls. She's just the most prominent and stands out, and that in itself makes her LESS like Stan as a character not more. Stan's biggest thing is being average, level headed and getting dragged into absurd situations or feeling forced to act because no one else will. Wendy is regularly above average among her peers and proactive, acting on belief rather than reacting to circumstance.
Now you can say the same things again too, but if I don't respond it isn't necessarily because I'm stunned silent by your amazing insight, but rather because I see no point in retreading the same points over and over. If that means you win, okay.
