Because shes not really goth and she for hell isnt emotionless. Its the forced monotone, the need for control, and yet under all the pressure a yearning to be the normal teenage girl that she would be if she wasnt a half demon spawn that is destined to end the world. Theres a lot to like and obsess over when it comes to raven, from her voice, her look, her habits, her disposition, those few brief moments of genuine normal human behavior that she gets so rarely.
Raven didnt reach eternal waifu status on this board by being just another cape. The unbeatable combination of wanting to protect that smile and knowing how dangerous she is gives more complexity then a majority of the FOTM girls we see come and go. It also helps the show gave us a healthy amount of fetish bait almost centered around her. From size change, hypnotism, gagging, binding, roleplay, and her demonic/uncontrollable powers can be just as fun to play around with. And not even in a sexual way either.
Shes also a bookish nerd, the relatibilty for autist who would rather stay in doors is off the charts since all raven really does is read and meditate. This also means fantasies about taking her out into the world and socializing her are just as appealing to that sort of person.
The number of ways raven is superior to any other within the show or otherwise is staggering and I could honestly sperg about it for pages, and me not being alone in that explains why we have this same sort of thread almost every other day, and probably always will. Raven can appeal to anyone, she is possibly the greatest 2d to ever exist. The very fact youre not obsessing over her makes me question your motives and sanity.
