I like Jarco. I think a lot more people would like Jarco if Jackie had more screen time and character development. So far she feels like a plot device and I think that's why most people don't like it. That and "main girl and main guy romance" trope, so people choose Starco. Dunno, I feel like Star doesn't deserve Marco, he's too good for her.

Yeah, this. I like S1 for what it is, I don't really have a problem with the early S2 SoL stuff besides the fact that maybe it could have been spaced out better throughout the season, but now that the show's actively moving away from that (literally none of the new episodes except maybe Ponymonium sound like filler) there's no reason to complain.

I know people will sometimes say "but mundane SoL/filler is the sooooouuul of Star Vs.!" but honestly I'm not sure if that was true by the end of S2.

I noticed that doesn't matter. Janna is more of a tool for the writers.
She will appear whenever there is a fitting situation in the plot. Jackie ist still a big part of the plot. wich means she will appear this season way more often

Jackie.

Janna's in the opening so on a technical level she's appearing in every episode (she's had more S3 screentime than Jackie through that already). Also the crew talks about how they like her a lot, make an effort to write her in, etc., when I've never heard them say that about Jackie.

Not that they hate her, just she's more of a narrative tool and won't stick around much longer once her purpose is fulfilled, while they try to include Janna regularly whether she's entirely necessary to the larger story or not.

If you don't count the second in every opening, I'd say Janna will get less. She'll probably appear here and there, but only for short times and when it's funny to include her. She'll get memorable quips and snazzy one-liners though.

Jackie will probably be around a bit more, but because she won't be delivering zingers but instead will mildly support Marco's development as he works through his emotions, and possibly manages to get some character development for herself in the side, it won't feel as memorable because she'll be there to sort of support Marco, and not for herself.

I do hope Jackie might get so much development she'd become a fun character on her own, but we'll see.

Not that anon but I honestly think that everyone hoping and wishing ("predicting") that Marco will dump Jackie almost as soon as he's back to Mewni are dead fucking wrong. It's just their wishful thinking speaking.

Nefcy's said outright that she believes that people, ie starcofags, like being unhappy, and that letting Marco and Star get together too soon would be boring. Which is objectively true; people are a lot more invested over will they or won't they excitement over a couple getting together, than they are over a happy couple canonically together. It's why most grand romances end at the wedding, the way there is the most interesting part.

So, I think she's spent way too long setting up the stajarco love triangle to resolve it this quick.

tldr everyone's predicitions are wrong, because they're based on wishful shipper hopes

Maybe not this season since it'd contradict the new ending theme ("She's a PRINCESS winning battles..."). Also how else will she make a contract with Eclipsa?

Toffee's already died, Lekmet died, they were pretty damn explicit that Moon's mom not only died but was killed, and used that one in regular commercials on the channel. There's no real precedent in this show for whether they'd kill Star's mom or not (Marco living to the end is a sure thing, but that's different from someone who's not a child or in nearly as many episodes), but I think it could happen. Not in any of the new episodes this month though, just maybe someday

I kind of agree with the sentiment of the build up to Starco should be drawn out. I'm a big will they won't they fan in media, but not long after they do, I fall off. Most because it's now boring and shows need drama and I'd rather not see the relationship fall apart.

Well depends on how good you can animate, and how much work you wanna put in it. Generally some teasing scenes, maybe some undressing scenes, 2-3 second loops of at least oral and vag, maybe adding handjob, boobjob, anal, pleasing her in various ways and different positions. Plus slower, faster, and maybe a medium speed loop for each position, and an orgasm for each position, in both internal and external.

Consider doing it on 4s(aka 6fps), for a minimum of 8 scenes(different speeds are just different playbacks) for a total of 96 drawings. Doing it on 2s(aka 12fps) for a maximum of 12 scenes at three speeds+orgasm each for a total of ~1700 drawings. But most of them are rather similar.
