>>96312416If those are your first edits then you aren't doing too bad. Better than my first tries at least. (Though if I'm being honest the one with Suki on the beach looks a bit lopsided. One extra large boob one normal large boob. Generally breasts should follow the alignment of the person's shoulders )
ctrl Z is your undo short cut if you didn't know. Way, way faster than manually undoing mistakes. (I didn't know that for a long, long time)
Resize the image before you start working. Make it huge. The bigger the better. This honestly helps in many, many ways, especially helpful for matching line size and consistency. Then you can shrink it back down when you are done and ready to post it.
Use the blur tool to help take the edge off of your lines and blocks of color. No screenshot has perfectly crisp lines or colors and the blur tool really helps make things match up. You just have to eyeball it. Honestly though I still have no idea how to re-create image noise in Gimp so I just ignore it. Works out well most of the time.
Use layers if you aren't already. Use a unique layer for every single color too keep things neat and easy to fix.
The paths tool is amazing for making smooth, curved lines but it can't do everything.
Taper the ends of your lines with the eraser tool to make them look more natural. This won't always be necessary as some shows do have regular, rounded line ends.
Don't be afraid to use references. Plenty of pics of naked and clothed ladies out there to use. I use this a lot because I am super shit at shadows.
