the lack of it now makes me wonder if creators nowadays are actively avoiding anything that could appeal to the weird fetish demographic, since you almost never see that kind of stuff now.
OK KO did a transformation ep recently, though. And it felt like outright pandering to TF fetishists with the way it was animated and whatnot. Really overly detailed.

What I like to see is for the character to accept that they are going to keep transforming and spending a lot of time in forms other than their original body, then start questioning parts of their own identity. Or for other characters to question it.
