I do customer support/call center shit for Keurig and let me tell you companies in general, especially large well known ones, will bend over backwards for you if you talk to the right people or manage to work your way up through customer service to a high enough level.

Companies are really PR obsessed, especially in the social media age. They would much rather just appease an upset customer -- especially if said customer has a good track record as a customer -- than risk that customer getting pissed and going to Facebook or Twitter to voice their dissatisfaction since that has the potential to spread and go viral with one upset customer turning into 1000 upset customers.

Depends entirely. Companies are different of course. Where I work, we get a lot of people who try to get free stuff out of us but most of us (at least in the location I work) have been there for at least a year so we know pretty much within the first few minutes at the most if someone's trying to scam us which means we're going to string you along until you realize you're going to get nowhere and give up.

There's certain area codes that a lot of scammers use too so if we get a call from there that basically sets us off immediately. Also most of the scammers we get are Indians from Indian call centers trying to scam shit out of us. Fuckers call so often that as soon as they hear a certain name/voice they know they're out of luck and will hang up before you even get the greeting out.

Kindles have NEVER turn a profit. NEVER. But anyone who still does e-books is more likely to read it on a Kindle than they are on a Nook.

I've already signed up for audible, Amazon said their are specific requirements like having to have gotten at least 2 hardcovers through Amazon and the ones listed I've already call audible and amazon costumer support about this and amazon said the confirmation link will take up to 24 hours and the book has to be in the cart I contacted them again but they said I'll be sent to the people running the promotion by email

Amazon doesn't accept Paypal but you can use a Paypal debit card to order from there. That's what I do. It takes maybe a week or two to get the card in the mail and you can request two different ones.

I don't know if anyone here was around for Boxing Day in Canada last year, but a price glitch was the only time a good sale happened on Blu-rays. They had a "three for $20, $25, or $30" sale going on selected titles, but the checkout screwed up and removed the excess amount TWICE. I just got the email that I'll receive the promotion during check out. I haven't bought a book from Amazon in over 5 years so the 2 book requirement is bs. I signed up through the ''sign up now and get 2 free audio books'' promo banner, talked with a rep over the phone and they said I'd get an email within 24 hours, and now I have said email.

I can't decide what to get though. Something to flip for some extra dosh or a Kerascoet book I've been wanting.

One account I got a book on was made last week or so and I only used it on a jailbroken firestick i bought. Never bought anything with it from amazon.

Another account was made months ago for a prime trial.

The last was one I actually use but I only bought 1 book from it this year.
