>>95984773>>95985128I hope so. I really really really hope so. I know the redemption trope is really overdone in this series, and boy I do get tired of it, but this is the only time I particularly want it to happen. I love this boi too much to see him get destroyed.
>>95984773I can so see this happening, although shit like
>Finn criyin like "C'mon Fern I know there's good in you!"is not going to do anything to bring him back imo. Fern doesn't want to be "good"; he wants to be capable, he wants to be smart, he wants to be original, and he wants people to love him for it. Jake really fucked up in Do No Harm, he spent their whole time together inviting Fern to take part in activities that were planned with Finn in mind, so right from the start he was being compared to Finn. And of course, not being able to do them well (or do them at all) shattered his confidence. I'm not saying it alone was the catalyst for his face-heel turn, but it certainly didn't help.
So anyway, with that in mind, next time they meet, Finn needs to provide Fern with proof that he really is original/skilled/whathaveyou by giving him specific examples of the times he has used those virtues. You know, a la cognitive behavioural therapy.
I guess kinda hard to do when you're being slashed at but uhh
