>>95749288That's wicked, thanks. Going backwards--I'm not afraid of blacks or whites, I love the classic masters of spot blacks like Jaime Hernandez, Toth, Mort Meskin, Jose Munoz etc--specifically wanted to do something pretty quick and "dirty" with screentone as opposed to ares of dense black. BUT I take that on board!
I THINK I know what wireframing is but not entirely sure...will google to see if my understanding is correct, thank you!
Regarding line weight--this comic is actually a concerted effort to maintain a more consistent line width--been obsessed with Sammy Harkham--I actually think that I FAILED in this respect which just goes to show how you perceive your own work! Looking at it NOW though I can actually see what you mean, again, it was intentional though. My other mini with Hector and Hugh was done with a brush and has a real variety of line width. If not brush then I use a Hunt 108 for a nice variety of line--I'll post a page of my Roger Recovery comic so you can see the difference.
My anatomy has fallen off to fuck as I've become concerned with other facets of making comics--developing a style, panel flow etc, my drawing is not "dynamic" at all. But those're no excuses. I can see now how static a lot of the poses look. Bollocks. But, thank you!
Again, it's great to have someone else's input because I just don't see a lot of detail. The trees and background earth are over-rendered but I think my characters are pretty simple. There're no extraneous marks there (in my eyes, anyway!). You're right about the book-tossing, though!
Thank you dearly for your criticism, I will take it to heart, truly--especially points three and five but it ALL has helped a lot.
And, man, the amount of pages I've re-drawn because of a line or a pose or whatever is innumerable--eventually I get stuff finished, though.
Oh, coupla pages of my Roger Recovery comic, give you an idea of a different style
