>>95403925>>95403926>>95403935I am a big fan of the original. The thing is Go isn't even trying to be a new season, or a continuation of the show - in fact Go admits this in no uncertain terms. It's its own show, so I don't get why folks get so asshurt over it. Unlike nuPPG it isn't shitting on the original at all. It isn't even trying to pretend it's the same thing neither in theme, animation or artstyle.
Its humor can be great, mediocre or terrible but it's mostly okay or great. The soundscape is amazing though. Animation is what you'd expect for a comedy of this sort, but they augment this by use of puppets, gags, those neat drawn stills and so on. They are quite creative in this regard.
Simply put this is a good comedy cartoon that from time to time has some odd eps about the economy and so on. It's not an abortion shat out by greed and incompetence like nuPPG. It's competently made.
Go has a problem that isn't its fault. The US animation industry simply went too far in the direction of shitty comedies and meaningless drivel, but that's not the fault of the show. Also, yes, CN's schedule is fucked but again this has nothing to do with the show as such.
