>>95288310I think it can work if it's done well. The problem, at least for me, is that too many supposedly "Scary" rely way too damn much on jumpscares, unlikable protagonists, and gore.
For me, the best kind of horror is all about atmosphere, uncertainty, and the feeling that something isn't quite right. I think where animation can shine is if it takes full advantage of the Uncanny Valley effect.
