If you lurked at /tg/ before /qst/ was a thing and compare it to /tg/ after /qst/, a lot of the inherent fun was reduced in both. /tg/ lost a good portion of its creative base, and /qst/ lost a lot of playerbase. Both suffer without the other. And than you came along, trying to divide this united board of cartoon and comics! If it is as you say and comics aren't getting enough love, why don't you make more threads about it? Segregating the two would just lead to less people even looking at the comics threads, now they're at their own board, and /co/ would wither just like /qst/. /ca/ on the other hand, would also suffer from the divided mess, and while it will probably stand on its own by userbase alone it will ultimately lose something that was vital to the enjoyment of anons, anonettes and anonymi.
tl;dr: don't follow /tg/ and /qst/'s way, that way lies ennui.
