Also, whether or not they do is not solely the point, the point is you have no idea how much they cost to make or how much is made off of them, otherwise you'd have provided a source by now.
But what matters here is justifying the cost to produce the cartoon, and even youtube channels have managed to do that successfully and create quality cartoons, Rooster Teeth and Frederator for example(even they have to deal with the large cut google takes).

It would probably vary greatly depending on the network and show so I'm not going to make too many assumptions, especially considering networks make their money through methods other than crowdfunding.
