I'm mixed race my father was (part) Maori, my mother was white. I get a bunch of advantages from it, like the ability to apply for special grants and scholarships that are only available to people of Maori. Also, less competition for said grants and scholarships because there's only like 750,000 in the entire world. I also own a share of Maori land due to this, although I only now own that share because my father passed away a few years ago and it automatically passed to my sisters and me.
I've had a few encounters with proper real racists (ie: people who hate blacks and also SJW) and they generally just assume that I'm a tanned white Australian from the bush.
Mean while people who aren't racist, but get called it anyway (ie: people who acknowledge that there are some differences between black and white people, but don't really judge them on that) can generally seem to spot me as being mixed race. Most of the time the think I'm either Maori or Aboriginal, although some times they're way off and think I'm Middle Eastern (probably the beard).
The only down side I've found, is dealing with SJW, who just assume I'm white. Which is kinda hilarious, because it's normally a raging white retard screaming about how I have white privilege and ignoring the fact that unlike them, I actually know what it's like to grow up as a mixed race child in rural Australia, something that is often show in media or said by "experts" to be difficult/hard (fun fact, it's not).
